3–7 PLAYERS · PLAY WITH FRIENDS

Prisoner’s Dilemma

You can trust me. Probably.

New partners. Old grudges. Cooperate for mutual gain or betray a trusting friend—and live with your reputation.

Promises are free. Decisions become public after the round, and everyone’s cooperation record stays visible. The bot mostly follows its partner’s last public choice.

  1. Players are randomly paired for ten rounds. An odd number of people gets one house bot so everyone has a partner.
  2. Choose privately: both cooperate earns 3 each, both betray earns 1 each. A lone betrayer earns 5 while their partner gets 0.
  3. Choices lock immediately and reveal together. Miss the 20-second deadline and you cooperate. The host advances after each reveal; the highest total wins.
